Funding education and small businesses for brighter futures.

We partner with local churches to relieve poverty across Africa, India and Nepal.

Our approach is relational, and is essential to how we operate. We don’t just offer financial aid, we nurture long term relationships with beneficiaries, offering them encouragement, guidance and prayer.

We prefer to fund small businesses, as we believe that enabling someone in poverty to establish an ongoing income is one of the most effective ways we can give.

We also prioritise supporting schools because education is such a crucial first step in breaking cycles of poverty and giving a child opportunities for their future.

SPT is a Christian charity, and was established to support The Guild of St. John and St. Mary Magdalene, a prayer network made up of thousands of members worldwide. To find out more about The Guild please click here.

Ebenezer Prep and Junior High School, Ghana

Located in Techimantia, Ghana, where many families live in harsh conditions and struggle to make a living. SPT gave a grant of £3000 to the growing school to build a new classroom block with toilets. As the demand to be IT literate increases for young people, the school hopes to be able to buy computers to start IT classes in the future.

Sisters of Rahab + Ruth, Uganda

In Kampala, SPT and the Sisters of Rahab + Ruth are working together to enable sex workers to leave prostitution. SPT have been providing small grants of £250 to help women to start small businesses, so they no longer need to rely on sex work to earn a living. After facing brutal living conditions including frequent rape and abuse, these women have hope again for their future.

Alive School, Uganda

Alive School is located in a low income area of Kampala, where many children were not attending school due to their families not being able to afford school fees. Free education is not provided in Uganda, but Alive School allows 1/3 of its students to attend without paying any fees, and provides all students with two meals everyday. SPT donated £1700 of the £2400 needed to start the school.
