Ebenezer Preparatory and Junior High School, Techimantia, Ghana

Techimantia is located in central Ghana, around 90km North West of the city of Kumasi. Although the school faces many financial challenges, it’s considered one of the top three schools in the town, and is highly in demand with locals.

As the class sizes were growing, particularly the nursery class, SPT donated £3000 to build a new classroom block. The hope was to add a new classroom for the nursery children, toilets, a computer room, and a low-cost book shop.

Thankfully, this block was completed in 2021, and the computer room in particular has become an important part of each day, as these classes help increase employment opportunities significantly for students.

Current grant request:

The new classroom block has been a very important step for the school. Unfortunately, the school still lacks the space to have a classroom for all the students. Therefore, some of the students have to learn outside. The next step is to build another classroom block that would be sufficient to provide classrooms for all the students as well as offer greater security for the school.

The video shows all of this in greater detail.
